You trade your challenge directly through the ZoneX Trading Terminal at zonex.trading, not on the exchange's native website or app.

Market Data & Fees: The exchange you choose (such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, or Hyperliquid) provides the live market data, order book pricing, trading fees, and funding rates for your evaluation.

Execution & Control: All challenge trades are simulated — orders are matched against the exchange's live market data and order-book pricing, but are never sent to the live exchange. You log into the ZoneX platform to place trades, manage positions, set stop-losses, and track your daily and total drawdown limits in real time.

Once you purchase a challenge, your account setup and trading access are handled directly at zonex.trading.

Question 7

Why am I seeing a message that the charts do not match?

Accepted Answer

This usually means you are viewing a chart from a different exchange than the exchange you selected when purchasing your challenge.

To place a trade:
1. Select the challenge account connected to the exchange you chose when purchasing your challenge.
2. Open and trade a symbol from that same exchange.

For example, if you selected Bybit when purchasing your challenge, you must select your Bybit challenge account and use the Bybit version of the trading symbol.

ZoneX blocks the trade when the chart's exchange and the selected challenge account do not match.

Do I need to connect my own exchange account for a Challenge?

No. You do not need to connect your personal exchange account or install a webhook, plugin, browser extension, or API key.

Your ZoneX challenge account is already connected to the exchange you selected when purchasing the challenge.

If you cannot place a trade, check that:
1. You have selected the correct ZoneX challenge account.
2. The chart symbol is from the same exchange as your challenge account.

To trade your own crypto through the free Terminal instead, connect your supported personal exchange account via API.

1. Choose a ticker in the watchlist or use the search box.
2. Open the order panel for that ticker.
3. Select your order type: Market, Limit, Stop, or Stop-Limit.
4. Enter your position size and leverage (if applicable).
5. Set a stop-loss and take-profit for every trade.
6. Click Buy or Sell to open the position.

What is the full timeline from challenge start to becoming incentive-eligible?

Step 1 — Purchase: Instant. Your challenge credentials are typically delivered within minutes of checkout.

Step 2 — Complete the challenge: Trade until you meet the profit target and all challenge rules. There are no minimum trading days and no maximum time limit.

Step 3 — Pass review: Once you successfully complete the challenge, our compliance team reviews your trading activity for rule compliance and prohibited practices. This is typically completed within 24 hours.

Step 4 — KYC verification: Submit a government-issued photo ID, proof of address (issued within the last 90 days), and a liveness selfie. Verification is typically completed within 24–48 hours.

Step 5 — Incentive-eligible account activated: Once your identity verification is approved, your incentive-eligible account is usually activated the same day.

What is the available leverage?

Leverage depends on two things: your account type and the pair you're trading.

- Futures accounts — leverage is available on every pair. The maximum is set per pair by the exchange your account runs on: big pairs like BTC and ETH typically allow up to 100×, smaller coins have lower limits. The order form always shows the exact maximum for the pair you have open, and it won't let you go above it.

- Spot accounts — no leverage at all (1×, long-only). That's what "Spot" means.

One important thing for challenge accounts: high leverage does not loosen the rules. Drawdown, daily/weekly loss, position-size and exposure limits all still apply — and if a position gets liquidated, the challenge fails immediately.

Leverage makes both directions faster, including the losing one.

Can we trade all pairs?

Yes. You can trade virtually every market your selected exchange offers. Your account is connected to one of our eight supported exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate.io, Phemex, CoinW, KuCoin, or Hyperliquid), giving you access to that exchange's full range of USDT-quoted markets—USDT perpetual futures on futures accounts, or USDT spot pairs on spot accounts.

We do not restrict or whitelist trading pairs. If you cannot find a particular pair in the symbol search, it simply is not listed by that exchange. If the pair is available on another supported exchange, you can choose that exchange instead.

How long do payouts take?

Once you've met all payout requirements — completed KYC, at least 14 calendar days of trading on the incentive-eligible account, at least 1 profitable trading day, and at least $50 in net realized profits — payouts are processed during our twice-daily payout windows. Withdrawal requests are reviewed and processed with a target processing time of 24 hours and a maximum standard review period of 48 hours. Processing may take longer where additional KYC, compliance, fraud, trading-integrity or technical review is reasonably required. In that event, ZoneX will notify the trader that additional review is underway.

Eligible traders start at an 80% performance incentive and scale up as they build a track record of successful payouts: 85% after 10 successful payouts, 90% after 20, and up to 95% after 50. The incentive is applied at the moment of disbursement on your incentive-eligible account.

Can I get a free retry if I fail the challenge?

Accepted Answer

Free retry — if your realized profit reached 5% at any point before you failed, you get another attempt at no cost, even if the account subsequently breached the daily loss limit or maximum drawdown. Realized profit is measured on closed, filled trades; an unrealized equity peak that is later given back does not qualify. One retry per purchase. It is not available on purchases made with a discount, coupon or promotional offer. The retry creates a fresh account with the same size and rules. ZoneX reserves the right to deny a retry in cases of reckless, abusive, or non-systematic trading behavior.

How many profitable trading days do I need before withdrawing?

You must have at least 1 profitable trading day before requesting a withdrawal. A profitable trading day is a trading day in which the account closes the day with a net positive profit. This requirement sits alongside the other first-withdrawal conditions: completed KYC verification, at least 14 days of live trading on the incentive-eligible account, and at least $50 in net realized profits.

No. ZoneX challenges have no maximum duration and no minimum trading days — take as long as you need to reach the profit target without breaching the daily or total drawdown limits. There is no calendar deadline pressuring you to over-trade.

Can I trade overnight or on weekends?

Yes. Crypto markets run 24/7 and ZoneX places no restrictions on session, news, or weekend trading. You can hold positions overnight and across weekends. The only time-based event you need to plan around is the daily drawdown reset at 02:00 Europe/Zurich.

What counts as a 'trading day' for disbursement eligibility?

A trading day is any 24-hour period (00:00–23:59 Europe/Zurich) in which you open at least one position that is held for a minimum of 3 minutes and risks at least 0.1% of account equity. Challenges have no minimum trading days — this definition applies only to the profitable-trading-day condition for disbursements on incentive-eligible accounts.

Can I hold positions through the 02:00 Europe/Zurich daily reset?

Yes. Positions remain open across the reset. At 02:00 Europe/Zurich, your closing balance for the day becomes the new reference point for the next day's daily drawdown limit. Your total drawdown floor is not affected — it is static, calculated from your initial account balance, and never moves. Open positions are not closed, modified, or affected by the reset itself; only the daily drawdown calculation is refreshed.

How many evaluation phases does a ZoneX Challenge have?

One. Every ZoneX Challenge uses a single evaluation phase. There is no second evaluation phase and no minimum number of trading days: you may complete the Challenge as soon as you meet the profit objective while remaining within all published risk rules.

How do withdrawals work — processing times, minimum payout, and restrictions?

Disbursements are processed in two daily windows (typically within 24 hours of approval, and usually same-day if requested before the morning cut-off). Funds are paid in USDT to your KYC-verified payout wallet. Minimum withdrawal is $10. Before your first disbursement you must (1) complete KYC verification, (2) have at least 14 days of live trading on the incentive-eligible account, (3) hold at least 1 profitable trading day, and (4) have accrued a minimum of $50 in net realized profits. Only realized profits are withdrawable — open PnL, the challenge fee, and the simulated base capital are not. Withdrawals are blocked while any account rule is in breach or while KYC/AML review is pending. Performance incentives of 80–95% are applied at the moment of disbursement based on your track record of successful payouts.

KYC verification is required after you successfully pass the challenge and before your incentive-eligible account is activated. No KYC is needed to purchase or take the challenge itself — you can evaluate ZoneX completely anonymously. Once you pass, you will be prompted to submit: (1) a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's licence), (2) a recent proof of address dated within the last 90 days (utility bill, bank statement, or official government correspondence), and (3) a live selfie / liveness check to match your ID. Verification is handled by our identity partner and typically completes within 24–48 hours. Your incentive-eligible account is provisioned immediately upon KYC approval, after which you can begin trading and become eligible for disbursements.

Here is the simple day-by-day path from passing to your first withdrawal. Day 0 — Pass the challenge: you hit the profit target and our compliance team confirms no rule breaches (review ~24h). Day 2–3 — Incentive-eligible account provisioned: usually the same day KYC is approved. What are the trading rules, in plain language?

Every challenge has a clearly defined set of rules covering areas such as daily drawdown, maximum drawdown, profit targets, and risk management. The exact limits depend on the challenge type and account selected, but all requirements are published in advance and remain transparent throughout the evaluation.

In addition to the core trading limits, every position must have a stop-loss attached. There are no minimum trading days. Some challenge types may include additional risk management requirements, such as maximum risk per trade or minimum reward-to-risk ratios.

There are no arbitrary time limits, no weekend restrictions, and no news trading restrictions. What you see is what you get—know exactly what you're being evaluated on before you begin.

Question 33

How does the Disciplined Trader 1:3 minimum reward-to-risk rule work?

Accepted Answer

The 1:3 minimum R:R applies only to the Disciplined Trader challenge and is verified on the PLANNED setup at entry, not on the realized outcome. When you open a position, your initial stop-loss and your initial take-profit must define a reward-to-risk ratio of at least 1:3 — meaning the distance from entry to TP must be at least three times the distance from entry to SL. Any trade opened without a TP set, or with a planned TP closer than 3× the SL distance, is flagged as a rule breach. What happens to the trade once it is live: (1) Early manual close — fully allowed. If price moves in your favor and you choose to close at 1R, 2R, or anywhere before TP, the trade still counts as compliant because the PLANNED R:R at entry met the rule. Realized R:R below 1:3 is fine; planned R:R below 1:3 is not. (2) Partial take-profits — fully allowed. Scaling out at intermediate levels (e.g. 50% off at 1.5R, runner to 3R+) is compliant as long as the original TP on the full position satisfied 1:3 at entry. The remaining runner does not need its own fresh 1:3 setup. (3) Trailing stops — fully allowed and encouraged. You may move your stop-loss to break-even or trail it behind price at any time. Tightening the SL after entry only improves your realized R:R; it never invalidates the original planned 1:3. (4) Moving the TP closer after entry — not allowed if it drops the planned R:R below 1:3 for the remaining position. You may move TP further away, never closer in a way that breaks the rule. Bottom line: set a real TP at entry that is at least 3× your SL distance, then manage the trade however you like — close early, scale out, or trail. The rule is a discipline check on your entry plan, not a constraint on your exit execution.

What is the Disciplined Trader risk-per-trade cap and how is it measured?

The Disciplined Trader challenge enforces a hard MAXIMUM risk-per-trade cap measured against current account equity: 0.6%. There is no minimum risk requirement — you may always risk less — but any position risking more than your cap is flagged as a rule breach. (Other challenge types do not enforce a per-trade cap; only Disciplined Trader does.)

How risk is measured (worst-case loss at entry):
Risk = |Entry Price − Stop-Loss Price| × Position Size
Risk % = Risk ÷ Current Account Equity × 100

The calculation uses the INITIAL stop-loss attached at entry, not where the SL eventually ends up. Account equity is the live equity at the moment the order fills, not the original challenge starting balance — so as the account grows or shrinks, the dollar value of the cap moves with it. Fees and funding are not included in the cap calculation; only the entry-to-SL distance.

Scaling in (adding to a position):
Each add-on is treated as a NEW order and must independently pass the risk-cap check at the moment it fills, based on the distance from that fill price to the CURRENT stop-loss on the full combined position. Critically, the TOTAL risk across the combined position must also stay within your cap. If adding a second tranche would push the worst-case loss on the full position above your cap, the add-on is rejected. In practice: if you want to pyramid, either size each tranche smaller, or tighten the SL before adding so the combined worst-case stays under cap.

Scaling out (partial take-profits):
Closing part of the position reduces the remaining size and therefore reduces the remaining worst-case loss. This is always allowed and never triggers a breach — the cap is a ceiling, not a floor on size. After a partial close, you are free to re-enter or add fresh size later, as long as each new fill independently satisfies the cap against current equity and the current combined SL.

Moving the stop-loss after entry:
Tightening the SL (toward break-even or trailing) reduces remaining risk and is always compliant. Widening the SL after entry is a breach if it pushes the worst-case loss on the open position above your cap of current equity.

Bottom line: size every entry so that (entry-to-SL distance × size) stays at or below your cap (0.6%) of live equity, keep the combined position within the cap when pyramiding, and only ever tighten stops — never widen them past cap.

How is my daily drawdown calculated?

Your daily starting balance is your account's equity at the daily reset (02:00 Europe/Zurich). That equity becomes your fixed reference point for the next 24 hours.

Your daily drawdown limit is calculated from that fixed starting balance and does not move during the day, even if you make profits. Any profits earned during the trading day increase your buffer for that day, but they do not raise the daily drawdown threshold until the next daily reset.

The platform continuously monitors live equity (cash plus unrealized profit or loss). If your live equity reaches or falls below the daily drawdown limit at any time, the challenge is breached immediately—even if the market later recovers.

Can I open a trade that risks more than my remaining daily drawdown?

You can, but doing so creates a significant risk of breaching the challenge.

Before entering a trade, compare your remaining daily drawdown with the maximum potential loss between your entry price and stop-loss. If the worst-case loss exceeds your remaining drawdown, your account may breach the challenge before or when your stop-loss is executed, particularly if there is slippage.

As a best practice, always size your positions so the maximum possible loss remains comfortably below your remaining daily drawdown, leaving additional room for trading fees and slippage.

If I pass a challenge, will I get paid? How much for a $25,000 challenge?

No, but once you pass the challenge, you gain access to an incentive-eligible account where you earn payouts based on the trading profits you generate.

For a $25,000 challenge:

No fixed payment for passing: You do not receive any payout for passing the evaluation. Payouts are calculated from the profits you make trading the funded account you can trade after you pass the challenge.

Profit split: In the funded account (after you pass the challenge), you can receive performance payouts of up to 95% of your generated profits.

Eligibility: Your first payout is available 14 days after your first trade on the incentive-eligible account, provided you have completed KYC verification and met the minimum profitable trading days requirement.
