ZoneX Funding Explained

What people mean when they search for ZoneX funding, and how the path from a Challenge to an incentive-eligible account actually works.

ZoneX is a Swiss crypto prop firm operated by ZoneX AG in Zug at zonex.pro. It is not affiliated with the ZXT token, ZoneX (Nigeria) or Zonex Network. "Funding" at ZoneX is shorthand for a three-stage path: a simulated Challenge, a separate funded-stage review, and — only if admission is approved and the funded documents are accepted — an incentive-eligible account.

What "funding" means at ZoneX

1. The Challenge

You configure and trade a single-phase, skill-based evaluation conducted with simulated funds on live market data from your selected exchange. Simulated orders never reach a real exchange, and no money of yours is traded. There is no minimum number of trading days and no completion deadline.

2. The funded-stage review

Successful completion makes you eligible for a separate funded-stage review of eligibility, Challenge integrity and rule compliance. Passing does not guarantee admission, capital, engagement, activation or payment, and it does not create a right to a funded arrangement.

3. The incentive-eligible account

If ZoneX approves admission, you accept the Funded Trader Services Agreement, Account Schedule and Funded Trader Rules before the Account Configuration is activated. The Trading Environment may be simulated or, where ZoneX separately elects, may involve ZoneX-owned proprietary capital. The trader does not own or control the underlying capital. Performance Remuneration is contractual remuneration for Qualifying Performance under the funded-stage documents, not a withdrawal of participant-owned simulated profits. Full KYC and identity-based sanctions screening must be completed no later than before the first Performance Remuneration payment unless earlier checks are required.

What it costs

A ZoneX Challenge starts from $10. The fee depends on the configuration you build: account size ($5,000 to $400,000 nominal, spot or futures), risk limits, profit target, leverage and the performance split selected at purchase. Optional add-ons change the price accordingly, and the builder shows the final fee before checkout.

The participation fee is a service fee for access to software and evaluation services. It is not trading or investment capital, and it is non-refundable except where the Refund Policy provides a refund or applicable law requires one. Treat it as money you can afford to lose in full.

The rules that apply

Each stage has its own binding document. Read them before you buy:

  • Challenge Rules — profit target, daily loss measured at the 02:00 Europe/Zurich reset, a static maximum-drawdown floor, a stop-loss on every position and stops that clear the venue liquidation distance.
  • Funded Trader Rules — the rules that apply after activation, in the version accepted together with the Account Schedule.
  • Risk Disclosure — the risks of crypto trading and of the evaluation model itself.

Supported exchanges

ZoneX has ten supported exchanges, with more coming soon: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Hyperliquid, Phemex, Gate.io, CoinW, KuCoin, Bitget, Aster. You choose the exchange when you configure your Challenge, and the evaluation uses its live market data. Separately, the free ZoneX Terminal lets you trade your own exchange accounts through your own API connection; that is live execution on your personal account and is not part of the Challenge.

How ZoneX differs from "instant funding" offers

Some firms sell immediate access to an account without an evaluation. ZoneX does not. Every route begins with a simulated Challenge and a separate funded-stage review, and no incentive-eligible account is activated before the funded documents are accepted. The table below states the structural differences; it is not a judgement on any particular firm.

CriterionZoneXTypical instant-funding offer
Entry point
A single-phase simulated Challenge, from $10
A fee paid for immediate access to an account
Review before the funded stage
Separate eligibility, Challenge-integrity and rule-compliance review
Often none before trading begins
Rules
Published Challenge Rules and Funded Trader Rules, accepted before activation
Varies; frequently stricter drawdown from day one
What passing means
Eligibility for a funded-stage review only — no automatic right to an arrangement
