Crypto Prop Firm Payouts: Every Step Between Passing and Being Paid
โPayoutโ is usually described as one event. It is a sequence, and each stage has its own conditions that can stop it. This guide separates the stages and states only what ZoneX actually publishes. Where a figure is not published, it is not stated here โ typical processing times, average payout amounts and pass rates are exactly the kind of numbers that get invented, and we do not invent them.
Stage 1 โ Passing the Challenge
Stage 2 โ Eligibility, verification and compliance review
Passing moves you into identity, eligibility and compliance review. It is not a second trading evaluation phase, and it can be declined. Passing does not guarantee an incentive-eligible account, live capital or payment.
Stage 3 โ A separate agreement
If the review is approved, the ongoing arrangement is governed by a separate written incentive-eligible account agreement โ not by the Challenge purchase. That agreement carries the performance split you selected in the Builder and the disbursement conditions. An approved account may use simulated or real execution.
Stage 4 โ Generating eligible results
Trading days, precisely
Trading days are not required to complete a Challenge. They matter for disbursement eligibility on an incentive-eligible account, where a day counts when at least one position is held for three minutes or longer and at least one trade carries risk of 0.1% or greater, assessed against the 02:00 Europe/Zurich day boundary.
Stage 5 โ Requesting a disbursement
Requests are subject to published frequency and size conditions:
- One request every seven calendar days. A request submitted before the interval has elapsed will not be processed.
- Each request may draw up to 50% of the available profit above the accountโs starting balance.
- Total withdrawals may not exceed the starting account balance within any rolling thirty-day period.
- Remaining profit stays in the account and continues to be subject to the normal trading rules and risk limits.
A single request, worked
Illustrative only, using the published 50% per-request condition.
- Starting balance: $100,000.
- Current balance: $104,000.
- Available profit above the starting balance: $4,000.
- Maximum permitted in this request: $2,000.
- The remaining $2,000 stays in the account under the same risk limits.
Stage 6 โ Review and processing
Disbursement requests are reviewed and processed on a twice-daily cycle, subject to eligibility, compliance and the disbursement schedule. That is the published cadence for review โ it is not a promise of when funds arrive, which depends on the payment route and on checks that ZoneX does not control. Anyone quoting a guaranteed arrival time for a crypto prop firm payout is describing an aspiration.
What the performance split actually is
Conditions that can stop a disbursement
- Verification or compliance checks that are incomplete or not passed.
- A rule violation on the incentive-eligible account.
- A request made inside the seven-day interval, or beyond the per-request or rolling thirty-day caps.
- Results below the published minimum, or before the 14-day waiting period has elapsed.
