Accessibility Features

Accessibility is applied across the following areas of our website:

  • Skip Navigation: Skip-to-main-content link for keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are fully operable via keyboard with visible focus indicators (cyan glow effect)
  • Focus Management: Modal dialogs trap focus and return focus to trigger on close. ESC key closes all modals.
  • Semantic HTML: Proper use of landmarks (main, nav, header, footer) and heading hierarchy with no skipped levels
  • ARIA Attributes: Screen reader labels on icon-only buttons, accordions, and custom controls
  • Color Contrast: Text and UI components meet WCAG AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components
  • Reduced Motion: All animations and transitions are disabled when users have "prefers-reduced-motion" enabled, including parallax and auto-scroll effects
  • High Contrast Mode: Enhanced focus outlines for Windows High Contrast Mode
  • Responsive Design: Content reflows at 200% and 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling. Touch targets meet minimum 24×24px requirement (WCAG 2.2)
  • Form Accessibility: All form inputs have explicit <label> elements, descriptive error messages linked via aria-describedby, and required fields marked programmatically
  • Image Alternatives: All informative images have descriptive alt text; decorative icons use aria-hidden="true" and are hidden from screen readers
  • Link Accessibility: All links have descriptive text meaningful out of context. No vague links such as 'Click here' are used.
